When we left off, Jamie was facing life in prison, being prosecuted by her own Daughter. Xavier and Leigh's world was beginning to go downhill, and a possibly rivalry may be in the makings between Leigh and Jackson Family Matriarch, and Xavier's Mother, Beth Jackson. Wade and Bridget's Marriage is too being tested, and Brock, Xavier and Leigh's Son, is currently working with him and that was the beginning as we left off. Sully and Henry are also dealing with a problem of their own, with his Mother. Now we pick up almost a month later..
At The Farm, Beth arrives with Ciarra, as Frank tells them "Country should be on his way if he isn't with Xavier." Beth takes a deep breath, as she fumes, and Ciarra reminds her Niece "Today might be a good day Beth. Let's enjoy this. Things are looking up now!" Beth sighs "It is, but not as I'd like.." Cale, Allison, and Ginny also arrives, as Frank tells them "Bobby will be here soon. He went with Bree and Paul." The mood in the home is one of peace, and suspense.
At Jackson Inc, Xavier sits at his desk, as Sully sits inside and tells her Father "I did speak to Brock and I think he was honest with me with his answer. He hates it at HaleCorp, and Mom has a hell of a fight on her hands if she did try to take this from us!" Xavier sighs "It's hell going home and seeing her. We don't speak. And I have heard rumors about someone else." Sully asks "Are you serious? I don't think Mom would do that to you unless the two of you were actually divorced." Ava walks inside, as she looks at Sully, who asks her Aunt "Are you telling my Daddy that Mom's cheating on him?" Ava looks at her Niece, and answers "I have heard rumors also Sully. But I don't get out much and prefer to drink at home. I just know the bitch will hate it if she tries to take this company with blood on it! And that blood will be hers because she won't be taking a damn thing!" Ava storms back out, as Xavier takes a deep breath, and tells his Daughter "There's someone I am worrying about." Sully nods in agreement. In the lobby, Jack and Javon walk inside, as Ava turns to her Son, and snaps "I am going to see my Grandson today and you can't do anything about it! Make sure to pass that to the Wife!" Ava walks to her office and slams the door, as Javon asks "That bad?" Jack nods, and sighs "I think Dad's death was too much on her. And I got to save her from self-destructing. She's looking for anything to attack now that she sees as a threat, and had lots of bonfires during that crazy ass trial." Javon asks "Didn't she set Jamie.." Jack goes "Let's get to our offices and get this project for Uncle Xavier."
At Lord Incorporated, Roger sits at his desk, as Rachel sits on the edge, and Roger asks her "Now are you certain you want to sell The Gossiper to this Chase fellow? He is young and he's already bought the Adam's Landing News." Rachel is quiet, and then tells her boyfriend "He is a little stuck up and needs to be brought down to earth. We could do that well." Roger quips "Monica is bringing me the official papers soon and I'll be a free man again and we can marry." Rachel kisses Roger, as passion builds, before there's a knock at the door, and Roger walks over to open, as Ryan Chase walks inside, and Roger yells "We're not selling!" Ryan tells them "I see how the two of you work. I see money, and I know how to run media better than you I think Roger! I've worked..." Roger snaps, as Rachel steps back and silently watches with a smirk "Bastard I gave you a shot and then you buy the newspaper? And then start gossiping and so you know. Carver has no problem visiting you with a few friends. I am closer to Xavier Jackson nowadays.." Ryan goes "Until he finds out you're sleeping with the woman that aborted his child." Rachel tells Ryan "Deal off and just leave before I make a call to my friend." Roger rolls his eyes, as Ryan steps back, and tells them "I'm starting a magazine also, on TV. Watch your steps. May wanna focus on what little audience you have." Ryan walks out, as Rachel quips "We oughta give Aretha Evans a heads up on this big development. And I think he quit Lord Incorporated baby." Roger walks over to the window, and answers boldly "He's about to make a huge boo-boo, and he'll learn who really runs this town. He thinks I may have my dark side, but even I know who really calls the show and best remember that Rachel." Rachel is quiet, as she silently leaves, with questions.
At HaleCorp, Wade, and Jared are sitting in a meeting room, as Angelica looks at her Grandsons, and warns them angrily "Why is Brock still here? I thought I made it known what the price would be Wade!" Wade tells his Grandmother "Leigh is about to destroy Xavier, and we may get Jackson Inc if she wins." Jared is quiet as he has a flashback to getting beaten up when having an affair when married to Sully, and goes "He deserves it." Angelica glares at Jared, and tells him "This was your last shot. I disown you as a Hale. Just as much of a sorry piece of white trash shit as your Grandfather's family!" Wade snaps "So if I don't agree, then you will disown me?" Angelica laughs "Did that ring your bell Wade? I don't have any problem making a family member that disobeys the Santiago values go far away, or just kill them and play sick little twisted games. And you are at least showing more promise." Jared asks his Grandmother "What promise? He's a sorry bastard I think is likely also a liar. Ever checked his DNA?" Angelica yells "ENOUGH! I run the Hale legacy now and HaleCorp! Also know I said Xavier Brock Jackson Jr is dismissed and if he's still here whenever I decide to pop up, then one of you will face my wrath! I'm watching BOTH of you and don't dare disappoint!" Angelica storms out, as Jared asks his Brother "And where is Brock?" Wade is silent.
Meanwhile at Chantel's, Leigh sits at a table, as Brock arrives, and tells his Mother "Thought we were meeting at home this morning." Leigh tells her Son "Well Sully and Gracie are furious with me and Gracie's across the road and hopefully not being groomed from Ava." Brock assures his Mother "Gracie has a strong head on her shoulders. Very fair I think." Leigh tells Brock "I haven't heard anything from Ava as of recent. Beth, well she can go to hell." Brock warns his Mother "I'm tired of this war growing between you and Gram! You need to make peace.." Leigh goes "Me? Make peace? She started it Brock. And so you always know, she isn't so damn perfect." Brock tells her "I know Mom. Gram has always been pretty open about her past with me and I respect her and won't put up with you talking bad about her. Sully wouldn't be the success she is without her!" Leigh waves for the bartender, as she pulls out her card, and tells Brock "After this little meeting, you leave me alone for awhile. That was too much. Just too.." Leigh slaps her Son across the face, as she yells "He's paying!" Brock pulls out his last dollars, as he sighs "I'm a loser. Thank you Wade for making my family hate me. And thank you to myself for doing it. My Dad is right."
At The Farm, inside Frank's Home, Beth is in the kitchen, as Ginny helps her Great-Aunt, as Ciarra sits at the table and tells Beth "I want to go home." Beth takes a deep breath, as Beth tells her Aunt "You wanted to come over here and I didn't tell you to stop driving around." Ciarra looks up, and goes "I want to leave and never come back again.." Ginny walks out, as Beth motions, and looks at her Aunt, and asks her "Where to? Blue Ridge?" Ciarra looks down, and answers as she mumbles "Anywhere I didn't have to look at the biggest mistakes I've ever made." Beth hugs her Aunt. In the living room, Ginny tells her family "Aunt Ciarra wants to leave. Aunt Beth is with her, so leave them be." Frank takes a deep breath, as he tells his Granddaughter "Ciarra has been through a lot of changes, losing her Sister, my former Mother In Law, to Uncle Floyd, to learning my Sister belonged to her. It's been a lot. Bree would understand if she wanted to leave." Allison walks into the kitchen, as Jo Chase arrives and tells them "I got an invite and since I am now retired and helped Bree Jackson have her name become one of legend, couldn't pass it up. Where's Beth?" Ginny motions to Jo, and explains the situation, as Frank tells his Son "Cale, I think she's got a bad depression and Beth's really been keeping her close recently. She rarely goes anywhere without her. And you know that I know!" In the kitchen, Ciarra grabs Beth's keys, and quietly and in a defensive tone tells Beth, and Allison, who's offered to drive her home before Beth waved it off without explanation." Ciarra tells Beth "Have fun and I am going back to the damn Penthouse!" Ciarra walks out, as Allison asks her Aunt "So want to tell me about that." Beth looks at Allison, and asks her "Do you want to talk about my Mama and your Daddy, my dear Brother and ruin this possible wonderful day?" Allison hugs her Aunt, as they finish up and Beth tells Allison "The only thing I wish is she could get some comfort knowing Jamie Marx is never coming back ever again." In a jail cell in Lexington, in a private, isolated area, Jamie J. Marx Lord sits in a cell without windows, as she reads a book, and has revenge in her eyes.
At Jackson Inc, Xavier sits inside his office, along with his Daughters, as Gracie has walked inside and greeted with a hug, as Sully asks her Sister "How's Bridget behaving to you and Ruthie?" Xavier sits back and looks at his Daughters with his arms crossed, and asks "Bridget disrespecting my family?" Sully reminds her Father "Daddy, I call the shots there. Don't worry because you have enough to concern about you don't need." Gracie agrees, as Sully and Gracie walks to Sully's office, as Xavier sits inside his office, and says to himself "Bridget may need a visit from Grandpa." Xavier gets up, as he leaves. Inside Sully's office, Sully yells "Gracie I told her to not throw her past with Jared around with Ruthie. And I know they're seeing each other now after the Adam's Landing News had them on the front cover. I guess her and Wade has an open marriage but she can keep that shit to herself!" Gracie warns Sully "I reminded her and she reminded me she ran the place and she could buy it and all those old threats." Sully laughs, as she quips "And her Husband is unpredictable and melts when Grandma Satan herself asks favors. She and I do though share one thing in common." Gracie answers "Hating Bridget?" Sully nods, as she goes "Exactly. And that's all Angelica and I will ever agree on."
Back at HaleCorp, Brock walks inside, as Wade greets him, and tells Brock "Grandmother wants me to fire you." Jared walks inside, and also passes along Angelica's order, as Brock is silent and looks at Wade and Jared, and tells them "No I'm not going anywhere. I work here so deal with it. I am my own man now Wade." Wade and Jared backs up, as Brock pulls a pistol, and warns "My last dollars spent on this, and tonight Wade, I'm staying with you, at your place. You now owe me." Jared warns Brock "Don't turn into your Dad Brock. Xavier can get away with this, but you aren't.." Brock warns his former Brother In Law "To think at one time I respected you. Now enough talk, and I am going to my office so my mentor Wade can teach me business one on one." Brock heads to his office, as Wade follows, as Jared stands back and says to himself "This is about to turn dark." At Wade and Bridget's Mansion, Angelica and Carver walks inside, as Angelica hands Carver a suitcase, and Carver asks Angelica "And what's your plan?" Angelica walks to the door, and laughs, as she turns on the locks "We're going upstairs and discuss some work I want you to do for me. I'm sure you've been bored lately since Roger and shithead has professed their love for.." Carver asks "Wanting to split them up?" Angelica grins, and answers "Well Carver DuBois, Rachel needs to be with Wade, and after we finish up, then you will know where this road shall follow." Carver follows Angelica to her bedroom, as he has a thought, and they walk into her bedroom, and lock the door behind them.
Back at Chantel's, Ava arrives, as Aretha awaits her, and Ava asks Aretha "Heard anything about Leigh moving on?" Aretha slides her tablet to Ava, and asks Ava "Rachel Lane gave me a heads up on Jo Chase's Son, Ryan." Ava reads, as she goes "We lease him space on the lower level of Jackson Inc." Aretha takes a deep breath, as the bartender walks over and immediately goes "Whiskey for you straight Ms. Hale?" Ava nods, as Aretha asks Ava "Samantha called me about the drinking.." Ava rolls her eyes, as she vents "Aretha she is using that to keep my Grandson from me. J.J. and I have always been close and she thinks I'm not good enough to be a Grandma since I drink. My only relief without Winston. Even turning my own Son against me too. If she wasn't Winston's Granddaughter.." Aretha quips "You'd flick your bic a few times and light her up." Ava quips "By fire, or my wrath Aretha?" Aretha rolls her eyes, as Ava quickly finishes her glass, and goes "At this point, I wouldn't mind Rachel as my Daughter In Law." Aretha quips "She's now with Roger Lord since Jamie's in Prison." Ava laughs, as she gets up "I know that. But she's been seen at Jackson Inc. Security always calls me whenever she makes an appearance. I just keep it to myself." Ava leaves, as Aretha takes a deep breath, with concern in her eyes for her lifelong friend.
At Beth and Ciarra's Penthouse, Ciarra walks inside, as Precious howls for her, and Ciarra sits on the couch, and tells him "I couldn't do it. I want to go home Precious. Aunt Ciarra wants to go home." Ciarra gets emotional, and Precious lays his head on her lap, as she pets him, and tells him "This is all I need. The last things that truly keeps me going." At Jackson Inc, Sully, Gracie, Jack, and Javon are inside the boardroom, as Jack tells his cousins and Javon "I think Uncle Xavier will approve this move. We're calling this "ThriftQuik." As Jack explains the idea, Sully asks Jack "Where is Daddy?" Gracie looks at her Sister, and tells him "I think I know the answer." Sully turns her attention back to Jack's presentation, and tells him "I think this will help Jim's keep Foodstar in the dust once it approves. Customer service is a must, and exceptional service will always bring in the customers." Jack excited goes "Exactly, and from our records owning Jim's, Emery's, and Class, that is one of our greatest benefits that will help us as the retail world is changing and we adjust to it." At Class, Xavier sits inside Bridget's office, as her secretary tells him "She doesn't like uninvited guests and only appointments." Xavier boldly answers "And my Daughter owns this, and I also have a stake and she can take her likes and ethics and kiss my ass. I'll wait for her and don't come back inside here again until she is here!" The secretary walks out, sending a text. At HaleCorp, Brock sits inside his office, as Wade warns him "This stunt could have gotten you fired. Don't turn into your Father." Brock looks at Wade, and snaps "I am his Son, and I want to make things right and bring my family back together before it falls apart." Wade laughs "Hey Brock, you started this shit on your own.." Brock gets up, and grabs Wade, and warns him "And you've enjoyed the show and now the game's changing." At The Holiday Hotel, Ryan sits at the bar, and has a drink, as Leigh walks inside, and watches, as she follows a man onto an elevator. Ryan takes a photo, and asks a waitress "Does she do this regularly?" The waitress nods, as Ryan pays, and returns to his office.
At The Farm, Beth, Allison, and Ginny walks into the living room, as Beth tells Frank, Cale, and Jo, as she tells Beth "I could have helped you!" Beth tells Jo "You have done enough already and wonderfully. Plus I'm glad you could be here today." Jo quips "Retirement has its perks." Beth and Frank laugh, as Frank quips "Rashad won the Southpoint 500 and Cale has done a great job running FJR, and I have enjoyed planting Mama's flowers in the nursery." Ginny asks her Grandfather "And what about being Papaw?" Frank hugs his Granddaughter, and tells her "And you're now away from Class, and working at City Hospital. Papaw is proud! I love you very much." Beth looks at her phone, and goes "Well no word from Ava." Frank sighs "I need to spend some time with her if she'd let me. She's changing so much. Almost like she did years ago." The door opens, as Bree, Paul, Bobby, and Country walks inside, and Frank asks his Niece "So are we having a party?" Bree starts to get emotional, as she runs to her Uncle, and hugs him tightly, crying uncontrollably. Beth looks at Bobby, Paul, and Country, as Cale asks "So what's the news? We're waiting Bree!" Paul looks at his Father with a smile, as Bobby turns to Beth, and Bree looks around the room, as Country opens a jar of moonshine and takes a drink, as Bree tells them "Paul and I are expecting! My dream has finally came true. I'm going to be a Mom!" Bree is welcomed with hugs by her family, as Country texts Xavier, and goes "I'm gonna be a Papaw X!" Bree hugs Paul, as she shows off a ring, and Beth tells everyone "This has been way too long overdue. Finally a little peace!" Happiness fills the house, as they celebrate Bree's news. Back in Lexington Prison, Jamie sits inside her cell, as she says to herself with a darkness in her tone "You'll regret sending me here Bree. I'll make sure of it!"
